THANK YOU FOR ICS

To our entire Intelligent Cities community, a big thank you from all of us.

Thank you for making Intelligent Cities Showcase (ICS) such a successful event. It is because of the support of all our speakers, sponsors, partners, and members of the audience that we were able to reaffirm our position as the go-to event to discuss all the aspects of building an intelligent and efficient public sector.

More than 150 speakers from across the globe shared their expertise with more than 600 attendees who logged in from different part of Canada and the world. 15 sponsors and 4 partners comprised our strong support system for the event.

This year marked many firsts for us as organisers. It was for the first time that our two flagship events- Intelligent Cities Summit and IoT Big Data Healthcare Summit- were co-located under one umbrella event. This year we also added two new content streams-the IoT Code Orange Summit and IoT People First Summit-and presented the entire content as a showcase. Recognising the global uncertainty and keeping the safety of our speakers and audience in mind, it was for the first time that the event was delivered virtually, and we can proudly say that we lived up to audience expectations.

Bonnie Crombie, Mayor, City of Mississauga, our host city delivered the welcome message on all three days of the showcase, while the keynote presentations were delivered by Michael Stephens, GM BusinessDevelopment, Municipalities & Government Relations, BAI Communications; Shawn Slack, CIO, City of Mississauga; Dr. Blair Feltmate, Head, Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation, University of Waterloo; Paul N. Wagner, Interim Chief Technology Officer, Treasury Board Secretariat; Mélanie Robert, Executive Director of Open Government, Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada and Gary Kent, CPA, CGA,ICD.D, Chief Financial Officer & Commissioner of Corporate Services, Region of Peel on May 26, 27 and 28 respectively.

On all three days, the event saw engrossing conversations between the audience and the speakers through chat and Q and A. The same buzz also continued on social media where both the speakers as well as audience members shared their experience of the event and shared their amazing feedback with us.

Once again, thank you for being such a significant part of ICS.We couldn’t have done this without you!
